Help your body regain balance.
Align Bodywork offers therapeutic massage and TMJ (Jaw) specialty massage in Bend, Oregon. Founded and operated by Gillian Bailey, licensed massage therapist, Align Bodywork is rooted in a holistic, empathetic approach to care that honors the complexity of the human body and the lived experience of pain.
Gillian’s approach to bodywork is shaped by both extensive clinical training and personal experience. She also holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy, and graduated from a rigorous 2,200-hour massage therapy program, giving her a deep understanding of musculoskeletal pathology, functional movement, and therapeutic treatment. Her work blends analytical insight with intuitive, hands-on care.
Gillian also has experience in, and deep passionate for, supporting clients with hypermobility conditions. From a young age, Gillian lived with persistent, undiagnosed pain that limited everyday activities and shaped how she moved through the world. As an adult, learning about hypermobility conditions helped her make sense of symptoms she had carried for years and navigated her path of healing. These experiences became the foundation for Align Bodywork, created to support individuals navigating complex pain, injury, and chronic conditions with care that is both informed and compassionate.
Gillian brings together her intuitive ability to listen to the body, along with her clinical knowledge and her lived experience to provide therapeutic bodywork that meets you where you are. Rather than address your symptoms in isolate, she sees and works with the body as a complex, intricate network of structures and systems continually working together: everything is connected.
Gillian’s philosophy is that her role is to support your body’s healing, by offering tailored, supportive bodywork that is and feels safe, effective, and collaborative with the goals of long-term improvement in your comfort, movement, and quality of life.
Gillian is trained and adept in multiple modalities. Based on your goals, her assessment, felt-sense, and your body’s feedback, she provides treatment that integrates techniques from these different modalities.
The list below is not exclusive, and these techniques may or may not be used during a session. Techniques within treatment are shaped through a collaboration with you, your body, and your nervous system along with Gillian’s clinical experience and judgement in determining that the techniques used are appropriate, safe, and effective.
